Fr. Dave was interested in what my first cell phone was because he watched a documentary about the Blackberry on his flight to Austria. I know he likes to joke how different we are, and this is true. I can’t imagine myself scrolling through the movie selection on a plane, see a documentary about the Blackberry, and think, “I’ll watch that!” But he did, so we talked about it.

We recorded on Sunday so we are a bit behind on sports. Just to keep you updated on the baseball playoffs, the Texas Rangers are up two games to on on the Arizona Diamondbacks. It is actually an exciting series (for baseball). Could be anybody’s game.

Much of our discussion was about the conclusion of the Synod on Synodality, which had just wrapped up a few hours before we recorded the show. The summary document is now officially available in English and it can be found HERE if you’d like to take a look at it.

I’m not 100% we will be able to record next week because I’m leaving as Fr. Dave is coming back, but as always, we will try our best! Also, I put a little extra work into the video for the show. I created “chapters” in the YouTube video to make it easier to navigate. If you liked what I did, email me at hope@franciscan.edu.
