I love the thumbnail image I made for this week’s episode. I’m not sure why—I don’t even like Jaws! But it is the little things in life that made me happy.

Update on my Polaroid: yes, I did put the film in the wrong way. I fixed the error, and now I can take beautiful pictures. Like this!

Fr. Dave wondered why it made the side of his head look caved in. I told him it always looks that way. Don’t tell him otherwise.

It is great to be back on a more regular schedule and record in The George like we usually do. It was a great summer, but I’m excited to be back to the school schedule.

In today’s show, we mention two charities worth supporting, https://www.wigsforkids.org/ and https://bananasfoster.org/donate-bret-helton/. If you’d like to hear more about Alaina’s story, you can find it at https://www.wigsforkids.org/blog/trichotillomania-a-lesser-known-cause-of-hair-loss-and-alainas-story/. Special thanks to her mom for sharing that wonderful story with us!

Alaina’s bravery in facing her mental illness encouraged me to share about an ADHD diagnosis I got a few months ago, and the long process to get that diagnosed and treated. I think Fr. Dave said it best when he mentioned we think nothing of taking medicine or getting help for physical issues, but we treat mental issues differently. I hope you are blessed by our conversation.
