Catholic Deacon, Speaker, Author, Podcaster

I couldn’t tell if Fr. Dave was joking or not when he said that the lyric, “I’m such a baby ’cause the dolphins make me cry” was because Darius Rucker (of Hootie and the Blowfish) was actually a Miami Dolphins fan. But to be honest, I’d have more respect for a man crying over his football team than a fish. Okay, a mammal.

Fr. Dave and I had a great conference last weekend at “Power and Purpose,” and it was such a joy to meet many of you in person! As I’ve often said on the show, absolutely LOVE it when you come and introduce yourselves to me.

This show was a little longer than usual but we had quite a bit to talk about. NBA and NHL are at the end of their finals (doesn’t look good for South Florida on either end, but there is always hope!), Messi is going to Miami, Saudi Arabia just bought the PGA Tour and we discuss “sportswashing,” and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will be at Dodger Stadium on Friday, which… is the feast of the Sacred Heart. I pray we speak hope into all of those things in our podcast.

Oh, and I almost forgot (or perhaps my brain suppressed this), but Fr. Dave gave blood right before recording this episode and proves once again how he is a truly horrible person.

Enjoy.
