Fr. Dave is on the road again, so he missed the exciting Game 2 of the NBA finals where the Miami Heat beat the Denver Nuggets (in Denver) to even the series 1-1. Exciting stuff! Also, I went to another baseball game with my son. Thankfully, he got tired around the 5th inning and we went home 🙂
Speaking of baseball, Fr. Dave and I talk a little bit about the LA Dodgers inviting, then resending the invite, then re-inviting with an apology the LGBT group “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.” Absolutely disgusting. It is one thing to be pro-LGBT, but quite another to blatantly mock the Catholic faith. Thankfully, a number of prominent baseball players have spoken against it.
Fr. Dave had a moving trip to the “Martyr’s Shrine” about an hour and a half north of Toronto, Canada. I never heard of it before! Next time I’m in the area I will definitely check that out. We close the episode talking about the significance of the feast of Corpus Christi and the Eucharistic Revival the US Bishops are trying to bring about. Enjoy!
